Palm Oil Extract is a major food source for the African Grey parrots in the wild. Unrefined Palm oil is readily accepted by African Grey's, Macaw's, Cockatoo's, Amazons and most other parrots.
Unrefined Palm is packed in 500 ml jars, ( Human consumption grade).

HEALx/AVIx Rain (Bird Rain)

A suspension of naturally soothing aloe vera distillate in water.

Available as a 240ml bottle with a spray top, or a 480ml refill.

Benefits

• Provides a 'natural', soothing bath which nearly all birds enjoy, and helps to bring out the natural lustre and shine of feathers.

• Can be applied to broad areas to help bathe birds that may be reluctant to be bathed in other ways, or as a medium to apply other products to the bird's feathers or skin.

• Encourages normal preening by providing a 'natural' bath for the bird.

• Helps add moisture to the skin and feathers, and can be of particular benefit for birds with dry feet.

• Helps to reduce feather dust and dander.

• The aloe vera helps to soothe dry, sore or irrittated skin.

• Works well to clean the bird - e.g. the removal of newspaper stains from the feet.

• Non-toxic if ingested so the bird can preen as usual with no need to 'wash-off'.

Bird Rain and Feather Plucking

Whilst the causes of feather plucking can be many, and often multi-factorial (diet, behaviour, boredom, habit), the tendency can be enhanced by dry skin and poor feather condition.

Use of the Bird Rain as a daily 'bath' can help reduce the tendency to pluck by helping to maintain skin hydration and feather quality.

Whilst not being a cure to an underlying issue, the use of Bird Rain can help to reduce the likelihood of a bird starting to pluck.
